About

Hi, I'm Ashley.

A licensed therapist who believes healing starts with feeling seen, heard, and supported—exactly as you are.

My approach

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe in meeting you where you are and creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—no pressure to have it all figured out.

I draw on evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving therapy, all through a trauma-informed lens. Together, we'll build insight, confidence, and practical tools you can actually use.

Clients tell me they leave sessions with a clearer head, a plan they trust, and the sense that they're not navigating things alone. Progress looks different for everyone—we'll recognize it and celebrate it as it happens.

Who I love working with

My ideal client feels stuck—emotionally, mentally, or relationally.

Maybe you're navigating a life transition, grief, anxiety, or burnout, or you've simply lost your sense of direction. You're insightful and reflective, and despite the struggle, you deeply want to grow. You're not looking for a quick fix—you want sustainable change and to feel like yourself again.

Therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's new to you. You don't have to do this alone. If you're ready for change—even if you're not yet sure what that looks like—I'd be honored to support you.

A little more about me

Beyond the therapy room

I became a therapist because I've always been drawn to understanding the full story behind what people are carrying. I care about more than the surface-level issue—I care about the relationships, responsibilities, survival patterns, and systems that shape a person's life.

My social work background is a big part of how I practice. It taught me to look at the whole person, not just the problem. Therapy, for me, is about creating space where people can feel seen, make sense of what they've been holding, and begin finding a way forward with more clarity and compassion for themselves.

As a Black woman and therapist, I also bring an affirming, open-minded, and culturally attuned lens to our work together—especially around identity, culture, and the specific pressures that come with navigating both.

When I need to reset, I create quiet and get back into my body—a walk, a workout, Pilates, time at home, or simply stepping away from the noise long enough to breathe. I believe rest doesn't always have to be earned, and it doesn't have to look impressive. Sometimes decompression is as simple as moving your body, being still, letting the day be done, or giving yourself permission to not be “on” for a moment.

I'm someone who can hold a lot and still need very simple resets—quiet, movement, a cozy space, my dog Graham, or a moment where no one needs anything from me. I think that's part of what helps me connect with clients: I understand that being high-functioning doesn't mean you're not tired.
