This Privacy Policy explains how The Breakthrough Space handles information collected through our website, consultation forms, and any related mobile or web applications operated by The Breakthrough Space.

This page is intended for general privacy information. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Clients receive clinical privacy paperwork separately when starting care.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the website or app, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, state, and consultation preferences.
  • Consultation request details: a brief note about what you are looking for, payment or insurance preference, and optional scheduling information you choose to share.
  • App account information: login email, account profile details, role or access level, and authentication-related information if an app account is used.
  • Operational app data: information entered into an app for scheduling, billing, session tracking, reminders, expenses, or other practice-management workflows, when applicable.
  • Device and usage information: browser type, pages visited, approximate location, device type, referral source, app usage events, crash logs, and technical diagnostics.

How we use information

We may use information to:

  • Respond to consultation requests and general inquiries.
  • Schedule consultations or provide information about services.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and related applications.
  • Authenticate authorized users and protect account security.
  • Send app reminders, practice-management notifications, or service-related communications when enabled.
  • Review aggregated website or app usage so we can improve performance and usability.
  • Meet legal, ethical, safety, licensing, or administrative obligations.

How form submissions are handled

Consultation requests submitted through the website are processed by Formspree and delivered to The Breakthrough Space for review. The contact form is not a crisis line and is not intended for emergency communication.

Email and web forms are not the same as a secure clinical record system. Once you become a client, clinical records, therapy notes, and protected health information are maintained through separate systems appropriate for clinical care.

Third-party services

We may use trusted third-party services to operate the website, apps, analytics, forms, hosting, authentication, notifications, and storage. These may include:

  • Vercel for website hosting and deployment.
  • Formspree for website contact form processing.
  • Google Analytics for website traffic and usage analytics.
  • Supabase for app authentication, database storage, and secure app workflows, if used by a related app.
  • Expo, Apple, and Google services for mobile app distribution, diagnostics, and push notifications, if used by a related app.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Analytics and cookies

The website may use Google Analytics to understand general traffic, page views, device type, browser type, referral source, and similar usage information. We do not use advertising pixels on this site for retargeting. You can manage cookies or analytics preferences through your browser settings or available device controls.

Push notifications

If a related app offers push notifications, notifications may be used for reminders, assignments, app alerts, or other service-related updates. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information only when necessary to operate our services, with trusted service providers, when required by law, to protect safety, to respond to legal or regulatory obligations, or with your consent.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, ethical, licensing, accounting, security, or clinical reasons.

Your choices

You may request correction or deletion of information submitted through the website or app by contacting The Breakthrough Space. Some information may need to be retained when required for legal, ethical, administrative, or clinical recordkeeping reasons.

Children and adolescents

The website and related apps are not designed to collect information directly from children under 13. For adolescent therapy services, a parent, guardian, or legally authorized person may be involved when required by law, consent requirements, or clinical appropriateness.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No website, app, email system, or online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Crisis situations

This website, app, contact form, email address, and phone number are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in emotional crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
